Romanian name: "Banat - Crisana"

Pronounced "ba-nat-cree-shan-nah". Sometime considered to be part of Transylvania, the two sub-regions belong to the same Western-Romanian cultural space. Neither Banat nor Crisana had a medieval coat of arms. The one  presented below is a mix between the old coat of arms of Oradea (upper part), the capital of Crisana sub-region, and the one of Timisoara (lower part), capital of Banat as well as the most imporant city in the region.
