Probota Monastery
...was built starting 1530 by the Moldavian leader Petru Rareş, the one who initiated the artistic movement regarding the outside painting of the monasteris. Petru Rares was the son of the most important Moldavian leader of all times, Stephan the Great, and his tomb is located in the church. The name Probota comes from the Slavic word meaning "brothership".

Most of the entertainment facilities are located in the nearby city of Suceava.
