> The fortified church of Valea Viilor.
The Saxon area of southern Transylvania, close to the city of Medias, on the road that connects it with Sibiu.
The village is surrounded by vineyards and was first mentioned in 1305. It seems that below the floor of the current church there was an earlier Roman-style basilica. In the 14th century a new, Gothic-style Lutheran church was built in place. It was modified in the 16th century and was also fortified. Three out of the four bastions resisted, as well as 6-7 meters high walls.
